These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between Yara Interiors and clients who engage our design services. Please read them carefully before commissioning any work. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
1. About Yara Interiors
Yara Interiors is an interior design practice based at 35 Jalan Semantan, Damansara Heights, 50490 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We provide residential and commercial interior design services, including design consultations, full interior design, and implementation management.

2. Services
We offer three primary service tiers, each with its own scope, timeline, and fee structure:
- Personal Design Dialogue — A site visit, written brief, and visual reference package. Fee: MYR 450. Delivered within one week of the visit.
- Bespoke Interior Design — Full spatial planning, material specification, 3D renders, and a design portfolio. Fee: MYR 3,500. Timeline of 6–10 weeks. Includes two revision sessions.
- Curated Implementation — Supplier management, contractor coordination, and installation oversight. Fee: MYR 1,850, in addition to procurement costs. Duration of 8–16 weeks.
The scope of each engagement is confirmed in writing prior to commencement. Any services beyond the stated scope will be discussed with the client before proceeding and may carry additional fees.
3. Quotations and Fees
Design fees
Design fees are fixed as stated in the service description and confirmed in the client agreement. They cover professional time, creative development, documentation, and revisions within the included scope.
Procurement and third-party costs
Procurement costs (furniture, materials, contractors, installations) are separate from design fees. These are agreed and approved by the client before any commitment is made on their behalf. Yara Interiors does not take undisclosed commissions from suppliers.
Additional revisions
Each Bespoke Interior Design engagement includes two revision rounds. Additional revisions beyond this are charged at MYR 450 per session, agreed in writing before the revision commences.
4. Payment Terms
Personal Design Dialogue
Full payment of MYR 450 is due prior to the scheduled site visit. The Dialogue fee may be credited toward a subsequently commissioned Bespoke Interior Design within 90 days.
Bespoke Interior Design
A 50% deposit (MYR 1,750) is due upon signing the client agreement. The remaining 50% is due upon delivery of the final design portfolio and specification set.
Curated Implementation
A 50% deposit (MYR 925) is due at project commencement. The balance is due upon completion of the implementation and final styling. Procurement costs are invoiced separately as they are incurred.
Payment methods
Payments are accepted by bank transfer (DuitNow/FPX) or cheque. Payment details are provided in the client agreement. All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
5. Cancellation and Postponement
Cancellation by client
If you cancel an engagement after commencement:
- Cancellation within 48 hours of a scheduled Design Dialogue visit: MYR 150 cancellation fee applies.
- Cancellation of a Bespoke Design or Implementation engagement after deposit has been paid and work has commenced: the deposit is non-refundable. Work completed to date will be delivered.
- Procurement orders that have been placed cannot be cancelled once confirmed with the supplier.
Postponement by client
You may postpone a scheduled visit or project start with a minimum of 48 hours' notice at no charge. We will accommodate one postponement per engagement; further postponements may be subject to a rescheduling fee of MYR 150.
Cancellation by Yara Interiors
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue an engagement if circumstances arise that prevent us from delivering work to our standard. In such cases, fees paid for work not yet commenced will be refunded in full.
6. Client Responsibilities
To allow us to deliver the best possible outcome, clients are asked to:
- Provide accurate information about the property, existing conditions, budget parameters, and preferences
- Grant access to the property at agreed times for site visits
- Review and respond to design presentations within 14 calendar days
- Provide written approval before procurement is initiated
- Inform us promptly of any changes to the project scope or requirements
Delays caused by incomplete or inaccurate information, late approvals, or access restrictions may affect delivery timelines. We will communicate any impact as soon as it becomes apparent.
7. Intellectual Property
All design concepts, drawings, renders, specifications, mood boards, and written materials created by Yara Interiors remain the intellectual property of Yara Interiors until full payment has been received.
Upon receipt of full payment, the client is granted a licence to use the design documentation for the specific property and project for which it was created. The designs may not be reproduced, resold, or applied to a different property without prior written consent.
Yara Interiors retains the right to photograph completed projects and include them in portfolios, publications, and marketing materials, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Confidentiality
We treat all client information — including property details, personal preferences, and project briefs — as confidential. We do not share this information with third parties except as necessary for service delivery (e.g., sharing specifications with contractors or suppliers), and only after informing the client.
9. Warranties and Liability
Yara Interiors takes care in recommending suppliers, materials, and contractors, but cannot warrant the performance of third-party products or the workmanship of independent contractors. We will assist in managing any quality concerns that arise during the implementation period.
Our liability in any claim arising from the engagement of our services is limited to the design fees paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for consequential losses, delays beyond our control, or the failure of third-party suppliers or contractors.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for matters that cannot be limited by law, including personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Dispute Resolution
We prefer to resolve any concerns informally and directly. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us at info@yarainter and we will respond within 7 working days.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing formal legal proceedings. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the courts of Kuala Lumpur.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. The terms in effect at the time of your engagement agreement will apply to that engagement.
